My career as an Occupational Therapist and my desire to help the Special Needs population had its origin in the birth of my first daughter. She was born prematurely, with multiple medical issues. She was at Cornell NICU in NYC for an extended period and received Occupational Therapy, and that is where I saw the practice of OT for the first time. During her early years of development, I developed a keen interest in the profession and that propelled me to change from a career in Finance to Occupational Therapy. It has been very rewarding for me to help children to achieve their best potential as I practiced in New Jersey, New York, Florida and Texas over the past 22 years. I recently moved back to Florida and would like to volunteer and assist in any way that I can to improve the lives of young adults with disabilities, so that they can achieve the skills necessary for independence in their communities.
